BOSTON - The way New York Rangers coach John Tortorella has it figured, his club’s series against the Boston Bruins reflected the team’s season.

They took time to find their identity and their game only to discover it wasn’t good enough.

“We struggled to get our personality, just to get our identity,” he said after the Rangers were eliminated in the NHL Eastern Conference semifinal by the Bruins on Saturday.
