GREENBURGH, N.Y. - Rick Nash got his wish and now it’s time for him to deliver.

After seeking a trade to a contender last season, the former Columbus Blue Jackets captain was eventually dealt to the New York Rangers in the summer.

We’re about to find out if Nash is ready for his close up.

No, it’s not his first shot at a Stanley Cup, that distinction came in 2008-09 when the Blue Jackets were swept by the Detroit Red Wings.

“It wasn’t the way we wanted it to go,” said Nash, the first overall pick in the 2002 NHL draft. “It was a quick series. Just getting a little taste of the energy, the excitement, what to expect, it’s nice having those four games under my belt.”
