Tyler Toffoli has collected his first NHL playoff point and first NHL playoff goal, but those aren't the only firsts for the Los Angeles Kings rookie.

Toffoli is on the most recent cover of Sports Illustrated magazine, which is an exciting honour for a 21-year-old hockey player.

Unfortunately, Toffoli is pictured on the receiving end of a highlight-reel calibre hit from Chicago Blackhawks’ winger Marcus Kruger, in which his skates are in the air and his head is ready to hit the ice.

“Thanks @SInow for putting me on the cover #hangingitonmywall??” Toffoli put out on Twitter after seeing the photo.

It's good to have a sense of humour. His followers do, too.

“Haha just turn the mag upside down Toff, then it looks like your (sic) are pile driving him into the ice.” responded Craig Kennedy (@GONGSHOWCraiger).

“@tytoff16 sweet cover Tyler! And I'm serious. Cover of SI is killer, even if your (sic) getting blasted. #GoKings” added Patrick O'Neal.
