EL SEGUNDO, CALIF. - The Los Angeles Kings are one win away from advancing to the next round.

It's a well-earned position to be in thanks to winning the last three outings after losing the first two in their Stanley Cup playoff series with the St. Louis Blues.

"I'll take it," Kings centre Anze Kopitar said with a grin Thursday afternoon.

The defending Stanley Cup-champion Kings returned to Southern California in the early hours Thursday, around 2:30 a.m., after gutting out a 3-2 overtime victory Wednesday in St. Louis.

Los Angeles has a 3-2 lead on the Blues in the best-of-seven series which resumes Friday at the Staples Center.

Most of the Kings were nowhere to be found at the club's practice facility, and it's a good bet they were resting some bumps and bruises from what's been a knock-em-down, bruising affair.
