Stanley Cup: CHI @ BOS

Bottom line: Wings need a win
By Bruce Garrioch, Ottawa Sun

The Red Wings tried to put up a brave face.

What choice do they have?

Trailing the San Jose Sharks by a 3-0 count in the Western Conference semi-final, the Wings have dug themselves a hole that’s nearly impossible to get out of after a 4-3 loss in Game 3 Wednesday night at the Joe Louis Arena.

Now, the Wings are on the brink.

“We’ve put ourselves in a big hole,” said Wings defenceman Brad Stuart. “We’re just looking at desperation games now. We’ve got to win.

“We had a good effort, but when you have the lead in the third period you’ve got to hold onto it and we didn’t. That’s the bottom line. You’re going to find yourselves in those situtations night in and night out in the playoffs. The team that can get it done is going to win. We haven’t done that.”

All that may be left now for the Wings is the crying.

Would Seattle be a good city for the NHL to relocate to?
Yes, it'd be a great market.
  Maybe, who knows.
No, they should go to Quebec instead.
