The Stanley Cup final has been chock-full of heart-stopping action.

Literally.

Chicago Blackhawks fan Dave Thomas suffered a heart attack while watching the Boston Bruins shut out his team 2-0 in Game 3 Monday night.

He was taken to Edward Hospital in Naperville, Ill., west of the Windy City, and survived the ordeal.

Two days later, however, the die-hard hockey lover couldn’t resist putting himself at further risk.

He watched Game 4 Wednesday from the cardiac ward, a roller-coaster 6-5 overtime win for his beloved Hawks.

"My heart monitor was off the charts and I was yelling like I was in a bar!" he wrote NBC Chicago in an e-mail. "The whole cardio floor had the game on! I love my Hawks but guys you're killing me for real!!"

Thomas didn’t have a repeat incident, but he did have a message for the Blackhawks and Bruins, who have played three overtime games so far this series.

“No more overtime, please. I can’t handle it,” he said. “You are giving people heart attacks.”

The Cup final is tied at two games apiece.
