David Bolland remembers how good the Big Mac and Coke went down after his games.

High on Bryan Bickell's list of minor-hockey memories was the iconic Quebec International Peewee tournament where his team lost out in a shootout to a Russian team led by a foreign prodigy named Alex Ovechkin.

And as kids of that age will do, both dreamt of hitting it big in the sport that was beginning to transition from passion to professional pursuit.
