CHICAGO - Eventually, the Chicago Blackhawks were able to get to Jimmy Howard.

Jonathan Quick, however, should present a different challenge altogether.

Heading into the opening game of their NHL Western Conference final against the Los Angeles Kings Saturday at the United Center, the Blackhawks know the key to advancing is to get to Quick.

Unfortunately for them, no team has been able to do that in two years.

“He’s a great goalie, he’s proving it back-to-back years in the playoffs,” said Blackhawks winger Marian Hossa. “We know he likes to come out from the crease, so we have to try and pin him in and the way to do that is to have a presence in front of the net.”

“They’re not going to give us a lot of shots on net, they have lots of guys who can block shots and they’re going to try to do that. We’re probably only going to be able to get shots from the corner, so we have to go to the net to get second chances.”
