DETROIT - When Jonathan Toews has personal success, team success is often sure to follow.

Three years ago, when his Chicago Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup, Toews won the Conn Smythe Trophy as the most valuable player in the playoffs.

Three years and three months ago, when Team Canada won the gold medal at the Vancouver Olympics, Toews was voted the top forward in the tournament.

In 2007, when he was an invaluable part of the Canadian team that earned him a second consecutive world junior title, Toews led his country in scoring and was voted to the team's all-star team.
