Duncan Keith isn’t keen on providing the Minnesota Wild with a blueprint for pushing a No.1 seed to the brink, but he knows from experience that President’s Trophy winners are far from invincible.

The Blackhawks were 20 points behind the Vancouver Canucks in the opening round two years ago, and even spotted Vancouver a 3-0 series lead. Then they found just a sliver of momentum and next thing anybody knew they were dropping the puck for overtime in Game 7.

“It was a crazy series, I don’t think anybody would have thought we would have taken them to seven games,” said Keith. “But momentum is huge in the playoffs, and looking back there were some huge momentum swings. They had it early, but we ended up getting it back and took it right to the end.”
