CHICAGO - Compliment? Or subtle jab?
Jonathan Toews, asked about Chicago rookie goalie Corey Crawford, managed to deliver both.
"Can't say enough about him, he's been awesome," he said. "I think the mental game, keeping the momentum and staying mentally solid over three games, a lot of it comes from how your goaltender is playing."

In just his second game back after missing six weeks with a concussion, Dave Bolland took a nasty elbow to the head from Dan Hamhuis in Vancouver.

He snapped his stick over the boards and took a number.
Sunday night in Chicago the number came up. Bolland steamrolled Hamhuis behind the Vancouver net, forcing a turnover that led to Chicago's first goal.
Two birds with one shoulder, as it were.
"Yeah, that was a big hit," Bolland said. "That's a clean hit, too, right? It was satisfying."
Hurtin' kind
Sami Salo left Game 6 after four shifts, leaving the Canucks with just five defenceman for the overtime loss. Salo isn't exactly an iron man, but this is the wrong place and time to get hurt again.
"I feel more bad for Sami than I do for us," said Kevin Bieksa. "I hope he's back soon."
The Canucks are keeping Salo's status under wraps.
