BOSTON -- Boston Bruins winger Nathan Horton has suffered a severe concussion and is out for the rest of the Stanley Cup final.

Horton suffered the concussion five minutes into Game 3 of the Stanley Cup final when he was hit by Vancouver Canucks defenceman Aaron Rome as Horton made a pass and entered the Canucks zone.

Rome, who was given a five-minute major and game misconduct for interference, has a hearing with NHL vice-president Mike Murphy this morning at 11 a.m. and will likely face a suspension.

The Bruins won the game 8-1 and trail the series 2-1.
