BOSTON - Tim Thomas had the last laugh.

After fielding questions in the previous 48 hours about whether or not he should change his aggressive playing style -- one that won him the Vezina Trophy as the NHL's top goaltender two years ago -- the Boston Bruins netminder stopped 40 shots in his team's 8-1 win over the Vancouver Canucks Monday night in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup final.

Thomas grinned when reminded of how his technique had been criticized through the first two games of the series.

"My goals against average in regulation after two games of the series was 1.50," he said. "That's not too bad. I think the base of my play was fine.

"I think I'll listen to my goalie coach and not those other people."
