Chicago Blackhawks forward Andrew Shaw will not play in Game 2 of the Western Conference Final against the Los Angeles Kings on Wednesday night.

"We'll shoot for Saturday (Game 3)," Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville said.

The Blackhawks lead 1-0 in the best-of-7 series.

"If it was a Game 7, I think we'd be looking at it a lot differently," Shaw said. "But it's Game 2 and the series just started, so with those three extra days of rest it's going to be huge for me."

The 22-year old Shaw, who will miss his seventh straight game of the playoffs, has been out of the lineup since sustaining a lower-body injury in Game 1 of a second-round series against the Minnesota Wild.

Shaw scored a career-high 20 goals during the regular season. He has two goals and four points in seven Stanley Cup playoff games.
