Anaheim Ducks forward Teemu Selanne took a seat.

His son, Eemil, took a shot.

Apparently not impressed with news his 43-year-old father — a soon-to-be-retired right-winger — would be a healthy scratch for Wednesday's clash with the Dallas Stars in the Big D, Eemil Selanne suggested the Ducks should send their head coach to their minor-league affiliate in Virginia.

“ROSTER MOVE: Bruce Boudreau has been reassigned to Norfolk Admirals (AHL),” he wrote on Twitter.

Eemil Selanne later deleted the tweet and apologized, saying: “Alright guys, it was just a joke. You guys can all calm down now. Have some humor. Sorry to those who felt offended.”

Teemu Selanne has been mostly a non-factor in this first-round playoff series with just one assist to show for three appearances so far.

He was replaced in Anaheim's lineup by 21-year-old winger Emerson Etem, who was recalled from Norfolk earlier this week.

Always a class act, Selanne wasn't going to ruffle any feathers after Wednesday's morning skate.

“Of course, I'm disappointed. I want to play, but I can't really control it right now,” Selanne said.

“I've been in this league a long time. I know how these things work,” he added. “I'm always positive. It's not the end of the world.”
