Chat recap: Stanley Cup Final
By QMI Agency

After 1,230 regular-season games and another 80 playoff games for good measure, the Stanley Cup final has finally arrived with the ninth and 13th-place teams from the season standings.

Who would have predicted that matchup?

The New Jersey Devils came back from being down 3-2 in the opening round against the Florida Panthers, winning Games 6 and 7 in overtime, mowed over the Philadelphia Flyers in the second round and dismissed the top-seeded New York Rangers in six games in the Eastern Conference final.

The Los Angeles Kings knocked off the first (Vancouver Canucks), second (St. Louis Blues) and third (Phoenix Coyotes) seeds in the Western Conference to qualify for their second Stanley Cup final in franchise history.

QMI Agency's Lance Hornby and Bruce Garrioch gave their thoughts leading up to the Stanley Cup final on Tuesday, May 29, 2012.

After benching Brad Richards should the New York Rangers eventually just buy him out?
  Yes.
  Might be a good idea.
  No.
  Not sure.
