Philadelphia, PA - Buffalo Sabres centre Derek Roy will play his first game in four months, as he returns for Tuesday's Eastern Conference quarterfinal Game 7 against the Flyers.

Roy suffered a torn left quadriceps before Christmas, underwent surgery soon after and was expected to miss 4-to-6 months.

Roy had been the club's leading scorer with 35 points (10 goals and 25 assists) in 35 games before the injury.

His comeback will be key, as Buffalo is expected to be without forward Tim Connolly, who suffered an upper-body on a hard check into the boards during the second period of Sunday's Game 6.

Buffalo forward Jason Pominville will also not be in the lineup, still bothered by a left leg injury suffered in Game 5.
