Some Senators fans likely let out a cheer when the Nashville Predators won their first-ever playoff series Sunday.
Afterall, one of their favourite Senators, Mike Fisher, happens to be a Predator these days.
But the Nashville win actually helped out the Senators.
As part of the Feb. 10 deal, which sent Fisher to Nashville for the Predators' 2011 first-round draft pick, the Senators, as a result of the series win, will also get a third-round pick in 2012. It will become a second-rounder if the Predators win another series and if Fisher plays four games in each series.
Of course, it also moves this year's first-rounder down a few notches.
