PHILADELPHIA -- It was enough to make John Tortorella sick.

Literally and figuratively.

Indeed, in the aftermath of the gut-wrenching, 4-3 double-overtime loss by his New York Rangers to the Washington Capitals in Game 4 Wednesday night, Tortorella admitted the thoughts of the outcome left him nauseous.

"I'll be honest with you, it took me until (Thursday) afternoon to swallow the loss," Tortorella told reporters Friday at the Rangers practice facility. "That was a tough one. That was one of the tougher ones I lived through. But once you swallow it, you puke it out."

Pass the Pepto.

Good thing his churning belly settled down as he prepared for Game 5 Saturday afternoon in Washington, where his Rangers, down 3-1 in the series, must win or be eliminated.

"My gut tells me we're going to have a good game," Tortorella said. "We're ready to play.

"I just have such a good feeling about our club."
