After his team's heart-wrenching 4-3 double-overtime loss Wednesday night to the Washington Capitals, Marian Gaborik went home and watched a horror flick on the tube.

But the film Gaborik watched was much creepier than anything the late Vincent Price ever produced.

Indeed, the New York Rangers' Gaborik forced himself to sit and watch replays of his faux pas on the play that led to the winning goal by the Capitals' Jason Chimera.

Some guys are just gluttons for punishment.

Gaborik admitted to New York reporters that he should have seen Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist going for the loose puck on the play that led to the Chimera goal. Instead, Gaborik's attempt to clear the puck plopped off Chimera's belly, and knocked it into the open net.

Rangers coach John Tortorella "guaranteed" Thursday that the Rangers would be ready to play Game 5 at the Verizon Center Saturday.

Down 3-1 in the series and facing elimination, do they really have any other choice?
