 What's in a name?

Well, for Maple Leafs forward Clarke Wilm, the answer lies in scrappy former Philadelphia Flyers captain Bobby Clarke.

Or, as he is known today, Flyers general manager Bob Clarke.

The "e" on the end of Wilm's first name was not just some throwaway letter by his parents.

 BIG FAN

Born in Central Butte, Sask., on Oct. 24, 1976 -- not long after the Flyers, led by Clarke, won Stanley Cups in 1974 and 1975 -- there was more to Wilm's first name.

"My dad Lorne liked Bobby Clarke and the way he played," Wilm said.

"When I was born he named me after him."

Wilm has never met his namesake.

"I don't think I have, no," Wilm said.

"I have passed him in hallways and said hello, but I have never stopped to talk to him."
