Injury bug bites Dono

TAMPA -- One in and one out.

On a day defenceman Toni Lydman returned to action, the Calgary Flames were again bit by the injury bug.

Right winger Shean Donovan suffered a leg injury midway through last night's thrilling 3-2 overtime victory and only managed a couple of shifts in the aftermath.

"He has a charley horse, honestly," said GM-head coach Darryl Sutter.

 "Truth."

Time will tell whether that is indeed the case but, for now, we'll go with the party line.

The speedy Donovan managed to work his way partly around Lightning defenceman Jassen Cullimore but couldn't get completely free and the pair ended up going to the ice just outside the crease of Tampa goalie Nikolai Khabibulin.

In the collision, Cullimore ended up falling on Donovan's right leg.

Donovan, who has five goals and five assists in the playoffs, was down on the ice in obvious pain for an extended period and went to the bench without pressure on his leg.

He took a few third-period shifts, totalling less than than two minutes, then left the game for good.
