There's home-ice advantage in the faceoff circle.
After winning just 38% of their draws in Tampa, Calgary's foursome of Craig Conroy, Stephane Yelle, Marcus Nilson and Chuck Kobasew were successful 54% of the time at the 'Dome.
But no one seems to be able to explain the drastic changes from one game to the next. Conroy and Nilson found themselves in tough in Game 2 during which they each won 26% of their faceoffs.
In Game 4, Nilson improved to 50% while Conroy led the way at 69%.
"Look at the little things that are the difference in a hockey game," said head coach Darryl Sutter. "One of the dominant ones, and it's been strange with the highs and lows of it, are faceoffs."
