Wrong number, Bourque

TAMPA -- Stephane Yelle insists he wasn't hurt by the gesture.

After all, anyone who has seen the scrappy Flames centre play knows how hard it is to inflict pain on him.

However, Ville Nieminen wasn't all that thrilled about the fact Ray Bourque took the time to call Lightning forward Tim Taylor with advice on persevering through a 3-2 series deficit before Saturday's game.

After all, Bourque won his only Cup in Colorado alongside Yelle, Nieminen and Steve Reinprecht in 2001, not Taylor.

"How many pucks did that guy block for him to win a Cup," said Nieminen, pointing to Yelle.

"I'd love to be on a team Ray Bourque is cheering for but I don't really care that much."

Yelle laughed off insinuations he'd be bothered by Bourque 'choosing sides' and calling an old Boston teammate instead of him. Instead, he was impressed by the call.

"We were teammates and we are friends," smiled Yelle, when asked to characterize his relationship with the legendary defenceman.

"He's that kind of guy -- that's something he would do."
