It could have been worse.

That’s the way the Pittsburgh Penguins are feeling in the wake of the news captain Sidney Crosby sustained a broken jaw and lost several teeth when hit by a puck Saturday and now is expected to be lost to the team for at least a month.

Officially, he is out indefinitely.

Four weeks might be rushing it, but the optimistic outlook might allow the NHL’s leading scorer to return in time for the playoffs.
