Injured Pittsburgh Penguins star Sidney Crosby will start skating again during the team's two-game road trip to Florida later this week.

Crosby joined the Caps in Washington Wednesday and will travel with the Pens for their games in Miami Friday and Tampa Bay Sunday, according to coach Dan Bylsma.

"He will be skating during this trip," Bylsma said. "He also will at some point and time address the media as well. No set plan, but this will happen in the next few days.

"He has been working out with light exercises in the weight room and on the bike. We'll be glad to see him on the ice."

Crosby, who's been sidelined for most of the last year due to concussion symptoms, hasn't played since Dec. 5. He has 12 points in the only eight games he's played since Jan. 5, 2011.

There is still no timetable for Crosby's return, Bylsma added.
