By QMI Agency

Pittsburgh Penguins forward Craig Adams should be ready for training camp after having an appendectomy late last week, the team announced Monday.

Adams, who had the surgery at the University of Pittsbugh Medical Center, is expected to need four weeks of rehab. The Penguins open training camp in September.

In 80 games last season, Adams had four goals and 11 assists. He signed a two-year contract extension on June 10.
