Penguins ink Williams
By SPORTS NETWORK

PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Penguins signed forward Jason Williams to a one-year, two-way contract on Tuesday.

The deal is worth $600,000 at the NHL level.

Williams tallied two goals and five points in 27 games with the Dallas Stars a year ago. He also registered nine points in 17 games with Connecticut of the American Hockey League.

The 30-year-old Ontario native has totaled 93 goals and 225 points in 447 games with the Red Wings, Blackhawks, Thrashers, Blue Jackets and Stars since 2000.

His finest season came in 2005-06 with Detroit, where he set career highs in goals (21), assists (37), points (58) and games played (80).

Would Seattle be a good city for the NHL to relocate to?
Yes, it'd be a great market.
  Maybe, who knows.
No, they should go to Quebec instead.
