PITTSBURGH - Pascal Dupuis, 32, has signed a two-year contract extension to remain with the Pittsburgh Penguins. The deal is reported to be worth $3 million.

Dupuis came to the Penguins in a 2008 trade with Atlanta that also brought Marian Hossa to Pittsburgh.

Dupuis is one of the Penguins' top penalty killers but also has chipped in offensively with 35 goals during the past two seasons. He has, at times, played on a line with captain Sidney Crosby.

The Penguins are said to be negotiating with another potential unrestricted free agent, forward Tyler Kennedy, who had his best season as a member of the Pens in 2010-11. They are also and continuing to talk with Jaromir Jagr about a return to Pittsburgh.
