New Philadelphia Flyers bench boss Craig Berube wasn’t pleased with Jay Rosehill Tuesday night.

He was even less happy when a reporter hurled a question his way regarding supplementary discipline for the Philly enforcer.

During Philly’s 2-1 win over the Florida Panthers, Rosehill received a two-minute penalty for roughing that eventually turned into a 10-minute game misconduct and a double-minor when Rosehill entered into another scuffle.

“I thought it was a weak call initially,” Berube said when asked about the play. “But what (Rosehill) did after was unacceptable, he knows that.”

When asked if he’d punish Rosehill for the incident, Berube’s response coaxed laughter throughout the conference room.

“Do you want me to spank him?” Berube asked.

“Get lost, talk stupid.”

Berube was named the Flyers 18th head coach on Monday after the organization fired Peter Laviolette following an 0-3 start.
