The jersey was a perfect fit.

Winger Alex Chiasson wore his new No. 90 for the first time since being acquired by the Senators from the Dallas Stars in exchange for unhappy captain Jason Spezza on July 1.

Chiasson, the centrepiece of the deal that included two prospects, was on hand for the opening of the Sens House Thursday in Byward Market after stopping by on his way back from Toronto.

Not only will Chiasson be with a new team this season, he also decided it was time for a new number. He had No. 9 in the past but that's worn here by Milan Michalek, so Chiasson opted to change.

"I wore No. 9 for a lot of years," said Chiasson, who had No. 12 in Dallas. "Ninety was my birth year and I think it looks good. Hopefully I can do well with this number."
