The Senators have avoided their one-and-only salary arbitration case by reaching an agreement with Derek Grant.
The one-year, two-way deal calls for the 24-year-old centre to make $700,000 at the NHL level and $85,000 in the AHL.
A fourth-round pick of the Senators in 2008, Grant has played 25 games NHL games in his career. He suited up for 20 with Ottawa in 2013-2014, recording his first two NHL points (assists) as well as four penalty minutes and a minus-3 rating.
In 46 games for the Binghamton Senators, Grant had 12 goals, 10 assists, 30 PIMs and a plus-9 rating.
