OTTAWA - Not all the Senators are sitting around this spring.
The weather finally got decent in Ottawa just in time for Marc Methot and Kyle Turris to pack their bags to head overseas to play for Team Canada at the world championships later this week.
The Senators' veteran defenceman and versatile centre -- on a roster made up mostly of players who didn't make the playoffs or were eliminated in Round 1 -- are going through their paces in prepation for the tourney.
After a two-day training camp that started Sunday and an exhibition game in Zurich, Methot, Turris and the rest of Canada will head to Belarus to open the tournament Saturday against France.
Naturally, after three weeks of waiting, Methot is excited. This is his third time suiting up for Canada. He went to the 2011 and 2012 world championships while playing for the Blue Jackets.
