On Fan Appreciation Night, the Senators were at least able to serve up a victory.

Erik Karlsson scored in the shootout to give the Senators a 2-1 victory to push the New Jersey Devils to 0-12 in the skills competition in front of a sellout of 19,240 at the Canadian Tire Centre Thursday.

Robin Lehner’s 38 saves in regulation were the reason this one got to a shootout in the first place. This one wouldn’t have gotten to a shootout if it hadn’t been for the kind of effort that he made.
