The Senators spent Tuesday night scoreboard watching.

In the midst of a stretch of six games in nine days, the Senators had Tuesday off to get rested and ready for Wednesday's visit by the New York Islanders to the Canadian Tire Centre.

The Senators are 4-0-1 in their last five games. Making the playoffs is a longshot, but they did head into Tuesday's action trailing olumbus by four points for the final wild-card spot.

The Jackets, Leafs and Devils, all teams in front of the Senators, were playing Tuesday night.

Ottawa players don't really want to get caught up in the post-season talk with seven games left. The reality is this team has to win its remaining games and then get some help.
