TORONTO - On their way back to a seat among the Top 8, the Senators started building an image as road warriors.

That seat could be pulled out from under them fast, as their status is about to be tested in a big way, not once, not twice, but three times within a 96-hour span.

Owners of a solid 5-1-2 record in their last eight games away from Canadian Tire Centre, the Senators left Friday for a trip that takes them to Toronto (Saturday), Pittsburgh (Monday) and St. Louis (Tuesday).

The Leafs, Penguins and Blues have a combined home record of 60-19-3 this season.

Ten of those losses belong to Toronto.

"We've got a helluva schedule coming up," defenceman Marc Methot said Thursday, hitting the nail square on the head, after the Senators moved into a playoff spot for the first time in 2 1/2 months. "And it's a three in four (nights), which on the road isn't always the easiest thing to do.
