TAMPA - Marc Methot bit his tongue and chose his words carefully.

The Senators' defenceman wasn't happy with sitting out Tuesday's 2-0 win over the Washington Capitals and had a hard time hiding his anger Wednesday at the Tampa Bay Times Forum.

Coach Paul MacLean told reporters Tuesday Methot was out because of a minor injury he suffered in practice Monday. Methot didn't think the injury was serious enough to keep him from playing.

"Yeah, I thought, there was an injury in practice. It turned out to be nothing really," said Methot. "I felt really good (Tuesday) and I felt really good (Wednesday)."
