ST. PAUL, Minn. - Three quarters of their way through an interrupted road trip, the Senators have lost one point and their GM.

Bryan Murray's disappearance is nothing to fret - the reason he left the team Sunday in Nashville, it's believed, is to be on a hand for a press conference in Ottawa announcing his contract extension and the elevation of player personnel director Pierre Dorion into the assistant GM's role.

That's all good, as is the Senators run of collecting five of a possible six points through stops in Montreal, Colorado and Nashville.

The only blemish was a late-game meltdown that saw them settle for in an overtime loss to the Avalanche.
