OTTAWA - Bobby Ryan wouldn't mind ringing in the New Year with a call from David Poile.

Team USA confirmed Saturday the American GM will name the club's final 25-man Olympic squad following the Winter Classic in Michigan New Year's Day after the final buzzer sounds between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Detroit Red Wings.

Ryan, who went into Saturday's visit by Boston with 17-17-34 points in 40 games, will be waiting by his phone to see if he'll get a chance to make a second straight appearance for the Stars and Stripes in Sochi.
