Marc Methot could have used an umbrella when he left the rink after Saturday’s game against Phoenix.

“When it rains, it pours,” the Senators defenceman lamented 20 hours later. “We lost the game and I lost the goal.”

Methot was referring to Ottawa’s first tally of the day, one that was originally credited to him but, after further review by the NHL, awarded to Kyle Turris when the teams had left the ice.
