OTTAWA - Antoine Vermette returned to one of his old haunts and made life a nightmare for the Senators.

The former Senators winger picked up a rebound and completed a hat-trick by beating Craig Anderson with a rebound at 2:23 to give the Phoenix Coyotes a 4-3 OT victory.

The performance ruined the first two-goal effort by defenceman Marc Methot of his career while Zack Smith also chipped in with his sixth of the season as the Senators blew the lead twice and dropped their second straight at the Canadian Tire Centre in front of 16,719.
