OTTAWA - Daniel Alfredsson skated onto the ice Saturday afternoon for practice at the Canadian Tire Centre and it felt like old times.

Everything was familiar: The trip to the rink from the club's hotel and walking into the building. Yup, it all looked the same, except when Alfredsson led the stretch at centre ice he was wearing a Detroit Red Wings jersey.

The 20,000-plus fans who pack the building for Alfredsson's returns Sunday night and the national audience watching on TSN will get their chance to celebrate his homecoming at the place he made a name for himself.
