OTTAWA - Let the debate rage after coach Paul MacLean confirmed backup Robin Lehner, the NHL’s No. 1 star of the week, will be back on the bench Tuesday night.

Craig Anderson is ready to return from a neck injury that has kept him out a week. With the Philadelphia Flyers in town Tuesday night, Anderson will make the start at the Canadian Tire Centre.

Why might there be some debate about this? Well, Lehner posted a 3-0-0 record with a 1.33 GAA and a .958 save-percentage, stopping 91-of-95 shots he faced while Anderson was sidelined.

“Craig Anderson is the No. 1 goalie and he’s ready to play,” said MacLean. “He’s playing. Robin has done a good job, but Craig is the No. 1 goalie.”

Anderson said he is ready to go.
