Marc Methot really does want to start wearing a visor. He knows the dangers of playing without one. He was reminded again in Detroit on Wednesday, when Pavel Datsyuk flipped the puck up, then hit it again in mid-air, trying to get around the stubborn Senators defenceman.

Instead, the puck hit Methot just above he left eye, leaving a gash that needed three stitches. By the mess, you would have thought many more.

"It was nothing," Methot said Friday morning. "It just bled a lot because of this area, the tissue is so thin."
