OTTAWA - Someone offered Curtis Lazar a beer after the Senators golf tournament last week.

He declined for two reasons.

"It's camp," said Lazar. "And I'm not old enough."

Not only is the 18-year-old first-round pick the youngest player still with the Senators after a first round of cuts, but Lazar also had reason to celebrate Tuesday when he was signed to an entry-level contact by the team.

Sent back to their junior clubs were goalies Francois Brassard (Quebec Remparts) and Chris Driedger (Calgary Hitmen), defenceman Ben Harpur (Guelph Storm) and forward Vincent Dunn (Gatineau Olympiques).
