Ottawa Senators' goalie Robin Lehner can't blame the Guinness for grogginess
By DON BRENNAN, QMI Agency
OTTAWA - Like many of you, Robin Lehner might very well have a splitting headache Monday morning. Only his would be from getting run over by a 6-foot-5, 265-lb. train by the name of Dustin Byfuglien. Not only did the Senators goalie survive the third-period collision, but only moments after looking like the team’s latest casualty, Lehner made a miraculous save off Evander Kane in a 2-1 game that propelled Ottawa to a 4-1 victory over the Winnipeg Jets. Lehner said afterwards his head was fine, that it was more of a “neck thing” that had him laying flat on the ice until being checked over by the training staff and Daniel Alfredsson. |
