Ottawa Sens winger Guillaume Latendresse chomping at bit to get back in action

After practising Sunday, Guillaume Latendresse had a skip to his step and a grin behind his new, full beard.

Before the day was over, he expected to learn he had cleared the last obstacle on his way to being a coach’s decision to return to the Senators lineup.

Latendresse, who hasn’t played since Jan. 30 because of what has been diagnosed as migraines, was confident of passing his ImPACT baseline test. Since being told by a specialist in Michigan two weeks ago his headaches weren’t concussion-related, he skated every day under the strong push of assistant coach Jason Smith.
