OTTAWA - A proposed NHL realignment has potential to "foster more rivalries," Cyril Leeder says.

Leeder, president of the Senators, told a business audience at City Hall Thursday that more divisional showdowns would be great for tourism.

The two-conference, four-division format could throw an added spark into the post-season, he said.

Leeder noted the Senators haven't faced the Montreal Canadiens or Boston Bruins in the playoffs since Ottawa joined the league in 1992.
