BOSTON — On the one-year anniversary of his first and only NHL shutout, Robin Lehner could very well find himself sitting on the end of the bench.
Would he be angry? Bitter? Disappointed?
None of the above. Lehner, in fact, would agree with the decision.
"If the chance comes I welcome it, and it would be fun," said the Senators goalie. "But they're playing really good right now, so why not let the train keep on rolling?"
The "train" is Lehner's teammates, and they have flattened their last five opponents, giving up a grand total of seven goals in the process.
Wearing the conductor's hat most of the way has been Ben Bishop, who beat the New Jersey Devils, then watched Craig Anderson take care of the New York Islanders, then relieved Anderson when he was injured in a win over the New York Rangers, then followed up with back-to-back over Ottawa's closest rivals -- the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Montreal Canadiens.
