Short-handed Ottawa Sens head to Toronto

TORONTO -- The Senators look nearly defenceless as they prepare for Round 1 of the Battle of Ontario.

As the Senators packed their bags Friday to head for the Big Smoke to face the arch-rival Toronto Maple Leafs Saturday night at the Air Canada Centre, they were forced to leave behind some of the biggest bullets in the arsenal.

After losing reigning Norris Trophy win Erik Karlsson for the balance of the season to Achilles surgery, the Senators recalled three players from their AHL affiliate in Binghamton Friday just so coach Paul MacLean can fill out his lineup.

Are you surprised Don Cherry backed Daniel Alfredsson's comments?
  Yes.
  No.
It's Don Cherry - who knows what he will say.
  Not sure.
